What's in the Box

Your Roborock Saros 10R package should contain: the Saros 10R robot vacuum and mop, the docking station with auto-empty and self-wash functions, a power cable, side brush, mopping pads, dust bags, Roborock cleaning solution, and the quick start guide. Check that all components are present and undamaged before proceeding.

Prerequisites

Prepare the following before you start setup:

  • A 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi network with a stable internet connection
  • The Roborock app installed on your iOS or Android smartphone
  • A flat, open area near a wall outlet for the docking station — leave at least 1.5 feet of clearance on each side and 4 feet of open space in front
  • Floors cleared of loose cables, small objects, and fragile items for the first mapping run

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Set up the docking station: Place the dock on a hard, level surface against a wall. Plug in the power cable. Fill the clean water tank with water and add Roborock floor cleaning solution to the designated reservoir. Insert a fresh dust bag into the auto-empty bin.
  2. Prepare the Saros 10R: Remove all protective films, tape, and packaging materials from the robot. Turn the unit over and snap the side brush into place on the mounting point. Attach the mopping pad to the underside of the robot using the magnetic mount system.
  3. Charge the robot: Place the Saros 10R on its docking station to start the initial charge. The LED indicator will pulse while charging. A full charge takes roughly 4 to 5 hours — allow the battery to reach 100% before running the first cleaning session.
  4. Pair with the Roborock app: Open the Roborock app and sign in or create a new account. Tap "+" to add a device and select "Roborock Saros 10R" from the device list. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the robot to your WiFi. Press and hold the power button on the robot when prompted until the voice confirmation plays.
  5. Map your home: Launch a mapping run from the app. The Saros 10R uses its RetractSense navigation system with LiDAR to create a detailed floor plan. The robot's retractable design allows it to navigate under furniture as low as 3.5 inches, so it will map areas that many other robots cannot reach. Keep all doors open during the first run.
  6. Customize cleaning preferences: After the map is generated, use the app to name rooms, set per-room suction power and mopping intensity, and create no-go and no-mop zones. Schedule automated cleaning routines and configure which rooms to prioritize during each session.

Smart Home Integration Tips

The Saros 10R integrates with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Siri Shortcuts. Enable the Roborock skill in the Alexa app or link your Roborock account in the Google Home app to get started with voice control. Commands like "Alexa, ask Roborock to vacuum the bedroom" and "Hey Google, start the robot vacuum" let you control cleaning hands-free. iOS users can set up Siri Shortcuts in the Roborock app for custom voice commands. You can also build automations that trigger cleaning based on time of day, location, or other smart home events.

Quick Troubleshooting

If the Saros 10R doesn't appear during app pairing, reset the WiFi connection by pressing and holding the power button and home button simultaneously for 3 seconds. Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network. If the dock's auto-empty or self-wash functions are not activating, check that water tanks are fully seated, the dust bag is not full, and the cleaning solution is not empty. After setup, check the Roborock app for firmware updates to get the latest navigation improvements and bug fixes.
