Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download Airthings App: Install the Airthings app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account.
  2. Remove Battery Tab: Pull the battery tab to activate the device. The display will turn on.
  3. Add Device in App: Open the app and tap (+) to add a new device. Select View Plus from the device list.
  4. Connect via Bluetooth: Hold your phone near the View Plus. The app will discover and connect to the device.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The View Plus will connect.
  6. Name and Place: Give your device a name and assign it to a room in your home.
  7. Enable Hub Mode (Optional): For continuous cloud connectivity, connect the USB power cable. This also enables SmartLink hub functionality.
  8. Wait for Calibration: Radon readings require up to 7 days for initial calibration.

Troubleshooting

  • Wi-Fi won't connect: Ensure you're using 2.4GHz network. The device doesn't support 5GHz-only networks.
  • Bluetooth pairing fails: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the device is nearby.
  • Radon reading shows dashes: Radon calibration takes up to 7 days. Be patient during initial setup.
  • Hub mode not working: Ensure the device is connected via USB power, not just running on batteries.
  • Factory reset: Hold the back button for 10 seconds until the display shows reset confirmation.
