Step-by-Step Setup
- Measure Your Space: Plan where the strip will go. The 16.4ft strip can be cut at marked intervals.
- Clean the Surface: Wipe down the mounting area to remove dust and oils for best adhesion.
- Test Before Mounting: Connect the strip to the controller and power it on to verify it works before permanent installation.
- Apply the Strip: Peel the 3M adhesive backing and press the strip firmly onto your surface. Work in sections.
- Download Govee Home App: Install from App Store or Google Play.
- Turn On Bluetooth: Enable Bluetooth on your phone and stay near the LED strip.
- Add Device: Open the Govee app, tap (+), and select your LED strip model.
- Pair via Bluetooth: Follow the prompts to connect via Bluetooth first.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi credentials for remote and voice control.
- Explore Modes: Try different scene modes, music sync, and color customizations.

Troubleshooting
- Won't turn on: Check all connections between strip, controller, and power. Try a different outlet.
- Bluetooth won't pair: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and phone is close to the controller. Restart the app.
- Wi-Fi connection fails: Verify you're using 2.4GHz network (5GHz not supported).
- Some LEDs not working: Check for bent pins at connectors. Don't cut through IC chips on the strip.
- Adhesive not sticking: Surface must be clean and dry. Use additional mounting clips if needed.
- Music sync delayed: Ensure microphone permissions are enabled for the Govee app.
- Factory reset: Press and hold the power button on controller for 5-10 seconds.
