What You'll Need

  • Shelly i4 (DC or AC version)
  • Physical switches/buttons to connect
  • Shelly app (iOS/Android)
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
  • Basic electrical knowledge for wiring

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Turn off power: Disconnect power before wiring
  2. Wire the i4: Connect switches to inputs SW1-SW4, power to L/N (AC) or VCC/GND (DC)
  3. Power on: Device will create "shelly-i4" Wi-Fi network
  4. Connect to Shelly AP: Join the Shelly's Wi-Fi network
  5. Configure via browser: Go to 192.168.33.1
  6. Set up Wi-Fi: Enter your network credentials
  7. Configure inputs: Set each input for button, switch, or edge trigger mode
  8. Set actions: Configure what happens for each input event

Troubleshooting

  • Factory reset: Press button 5 times rapidly, or hold for 10 seconds
