  • Tuya Smart Hub (Zigbee Gateway)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Position the hub: Place centrally in your home for best Zigbee coverage. Keep within Wi-Fi range of your router.
  2. Download the app: Install Tuya Smart or Smart Life app (both work with Tuya hubs).
  3. Create account: Sign up or sign in to your account.
  4. Connect power: Plug in the hub. The indicator light will start blinking rapidly.
  5. Add the hub: In the app, tap "+" → "Gateway Control" → select your hub model.
  6. Reset if needed: If the light isn't blinking rapidly, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
  7. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the app prompts to connect the hub to your 2.4GHz network.
  8. Wait for connection: The hub will connect to Tuya's cloud. The light will turn solid when ready.
  9. Name the hub: Give it a location name for easy identification.
  10. Add Zigbee devices: Tap on the hub in the app → "Add subdevice" to start pairing Zigbee devices.

Troubleshooting

  • Hub won't enter pairing mode: Press and hold the reset button for 5+ seconds until the light blinks rapidly. Ensure it's powered on.
  • Wi-Fi connection fails: Only 2.4GHz networks are supported. Check password. Move hub closer to router during setup.
  • Zigbee devices not pairing: Ensure device is Tuya-compatible Zigbee. Factory reset the device. Keep device close to hub during initial pairing.
  • Hub offline: Check Wi-Fi connection. Verify internet is working. Power cycle the hub. Check Tuya cloud status.
  • Limited device support: Tuya hubs work best with Tuya-branded Zigbee devices. Third-party Zigbee devices may not be compatible.
