What You'll Need
- Zooz ZSE44 XS Sensor
- Z-Wave hub or controller
- CR2032 battery (included)
- Smartphone with your hub's app
Step 1: Insert the Battery
Open the sensor case and insert the included CR2032 battery with the positive side facing up. The LED will flash to confirm power.
Step 2: Add to Z-Wave Network
Put your Z-Wave hub into inclusion/pairing mode. Click the button on the sensor 3 times quickly. Wait for your hub to confirm the device has been added.
Step 3: Position the Sensor
Place the sensor in the location you want to monitor. The compact XS size allows placement in tight spaces. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafty locations for accurate readings.
Step 4: Configure in Your Hub
Access the sensor settings in your hub's app. Configure reporting intervals and thresholds based on your automation needs.

Troubleshooting
- Won't pair: Move closer to hub; try exclusion then re-include
- Inaccurate readings: Allow 15 minutes to acclimate; check placement
- Not reporting: Check battery; verify hub connection
- Factory reset: Click button 3x, then hold for 10 seconds
