Installing Your Ring Smart Lighting Bridge

What You'll Need

  • Ring Smart Lighting Bridge
  • Power outlet near WiFi router
  • Smartphone with Ring app
  • 2.4GHz WiFi network

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Position Bridge: Place within 30 feet of your WiFi router and within range of outdoor lights.
  2. Plug in: Connect Bridge to power outlet.
  3. Open Ring app: Tap "+" then "Set Up a Device."
  4. Select Bridge: Choose Ring Smart Lighting Bridge from the list.
  5. Scan QR code: Use camera to scan code on bottom of Bridge.
  6. Wait for flashing: Blue and green LEDs will flash during setup.
  7. Connect to WiFi: Select your 2.4GHz network and enter password.
  8. Setup complete: Solid blue light indicates ready status.
  9. Add Smart Lights: Now you can add pathlights, spotlights, and floodlights.

Troubleshooting

  • Red light: No internet connection. Check router and WiFi password.
  • Lights not connecting: Ensure Bridge shows solid blue. Move closer if needed.

  • Reset Bridge: Press setup button with paperclip for 5+ seconds.
