Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Download SwitchBot app: Install from App Store or Google Play and create an account.
  2. Check lock compatibility: SwitchBot Lock works with most thumb-turn style deadbolts.
  3. Clean mounting surface: Thoroughly clean the interior door surface where the lock will attach.
  4. Measure thumb turn height: If ≥3mm overhang, use Mounting Bracket A. If <3mm, use Mounting Bracket B.
  5. Attach mounting bracket: Use the appropriate bracket with 3M adhesive tape.
  6. Install batteries: Insert 2 CR123A batteries into the SwitchBot Lock.
  7. Mount the lock: Attach the SwitchBot Lock to the mounting bracket, covering your existing thumb turn.
  8. Open SwitchBot app: Tap + to add device, select Lock, and follow Bluetooth pairing.
  9. Calibrate: Set the locked and unlocked positions following app instructions.
  10. Set up Hub (optional): Connect a SwitchBot Hub Mini/Hub 2 for remote access and voice control.

Troubleshooting
