Step-by-Step Setup
- Download Wyze app: Install and create/login to your Wyze account.
- Set up Gateway first: Plug the Gateway into an outlet within 30 feet of your lock. Add it in the Wyze app.
- Remove interior deadbolt: Only remove the interior thumb turn - keep exterior hardware and key cylinder.
- Check door alignment: Ensure door closes smoothly and deadbolt extends without resistance.
- Attach mounting plate: Position the Wyze Lock mounting bracket over the existing deadbolt mechanism.
- Connect adapter: Attach the appropriate adapter for your lock's tailpiece.
- Mount Wyze Lock: Secure the lock body to the mounting plate.
- Install batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries.
- Add lock in app: Tap + and select Wyze Lock. Follow pairing instructions.
- Calibrate: The app will guide you through calibration to learn locked/unlocked positions.

Troubleshooting
- Lock not connecting: Ensure Gateway is online and within range. Check WiFi status.
- Motor grinding: Recalibrate the lock. Check that deadbolt moves freely by hand.
- Auto-unlock not working: Enable location services. Set home/away geofence in app.
- Door status wrong: Reposition the door sensor magnet for proper detection.
