Installing Your Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch (Matter)

What You'll Need

• Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch (Matter version)
• Standard door prep (2-1/8" bore, 1" edge bore)
• 4 AA batteries (included)
• Thread border router
• Smartphone with Yale Access app or Matter controller
• Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Remove existing deadbolt: Unscrew and remove the current lock from both sides of the door.
2. Install Yale latch: Insert the new latch bolt and secure with screws.
3. Install strike plate: Position and secure the strike plate on the frame.
4. Mount exterior assembly: Place the exterior assembly with fingerprint reader and thread the cable through the door.
5. Connect interior assembly: Plug in the cable and secure the interior unit with screws.
6. Install batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries.
7. Test operation: Verify the thumb turn and bolt operate smoothly.
8. Download Yale Access app: Complete initial setup including fingerprint enrollment.
9. Add fingerprints: Register fingerprints for authorized users through the app.
10. Add to Matter: Scan the Matter QR code with your controller app.

Troubleshooting

• Fingerprint not recognized: Clean the sensor with a dry cloth. Re-enroll the fingerprint. Register multiple angles of the same finger.

• Matter connection issues: Check Thread border router status. Reset lock network settings and re-pair.
• Lock jams: Check door alignment. Verify latch isn't binding in strike plate. Adjust as needed.
