Bang & Olufsen smart speakers offer premium audio but can encounter connectivity issues. This guide covers common problems with Beosound speakers.

Speaker Not Appearing in B&O App

  1. Ensure speaker is powered on and in setup mode (blinking light)
  2. Enable Bluetooth and location on your phone
  3. Keep phone within 3 feet of speaker during setup
  4. Force close and reopen the B&O app
  5. Try factory reset: Hold touch panel until lights flash

WiFi Connection Dropping

  1. B&O speakers require 2.4GHz network for initial setup
  2. Check for WiFi interference from other devices
  3. Update speaker firmware via B&O app
  4. Assign static IP address in router settings
  5. Move speaker away from walls and metal objects

AirPlay Not Working

  1. Ensure speaker and iPhone/Mac are on same network
  2. Disable and re-enable AirPlay in B&O app settings
  3. Restart home router to clear AirPlay cache
  4. Update to latest iOS/macOS version
  5. Check firewall isn't blocking ports 5353, 3689

Chromecast Built-in Issues

  1. Sign out and back into Google Home
  2. Remove speaker from Google Home and re-add
  3. Clear Google Home app cache
  4. Ensure UPnP is enabled on router

Audio Quality Issues

  1. Check streaming quality settings in music app
  2. Use wired connection (AUX/optical) for best quality
  3. Adjust room correction settings in B&O app
  4. Keep speaker 8 inches from walls
