Bose smart speakers offer premium audio with voice assistant integration. This guide covers connectivity issues.

Speaker Not Connecting to WiFi

  1. Use Bose Music app for setup (not Alexa/Google)
  2. Speaker requires 2.4GHz or 5GHz WiFi
  3. Hold Bluetooth + Volume Down for setup mode
  4. Keep phone near speaker during setup
  5. Factory reset: Hold Power 10 seconds

Alexa Not Responding

  1. Enable Alexa in Bose Music app first
  2. Sign into Amazon account when prompted
  3. Check microphone isn't muted (button on speaker)
  4. Say "Alexa" clearly toward speaker
  5. Re-enable Alexa if voice activation fails

AirPlay Not Working

  1. Ensure speaker and iPhone on same network
  2. Enable AirPlay in Bose app settings
  3. Update speaker firmware
  4. Restart home router if AirPlay disappears
  5. Check firewall settings on network

Spotify Connect Issues

  1. Sign into Spotify in Bose Music app
  2. Both devices must be on same network
  3. Speaker appears in Spotify "Devices" list
  4. Log out and back into Spotify if not showing
  5. Premium account required for Connect

Soundbar TV Connection

  1. Use HDMI eARC for best audio quality
  2. Enable CEC/HDMI-ARC on TV settings
  3. Optical cable as alternative connection
  4. ADAPTiQ for room calibration (follow app steps)
  5. SimpleSync enables portable/soundbar pairing

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Hold Bluetooth button until LED flashes blue
  2. Find "Bose [model]" in phone Bluetooth settings
  3. Can store multiple paired devices
  4. Switch sources in Bose Music app
  5. Bluetooth works when WiFi unavailable
