Bosma Aegis smart locks offer fingerprint, keypad, and app control. This guide covers connectivity issues.

Lock Not Pairing to App

  1. Download Bosma app for setup
  2. Enable Bluetooth and location on phone
  3. Hold lock button until LED flashes
  4. Keep phone within 10 feet during pairing
  5. Factory reset if previously paired elsewhere

WiFi Gateway Setup

  1. WiFi gateway required for remote access
  2. Gateway connects to 2.4GHz WiFi only
  3. Position gateway within 30 feet of lock
  4. Gateway LED indicates connection status
  5. Enables voice assistant integration

Fingerprint Not Recognized

  1. Clean sensor with dry microfiber cloth
  2. Re-enroll finger at multiple angles
  3. Enroll same finger 2-3 times for reliability
  4. Dry fingers before enrolling
  5. Cold weather affects sensor accuracy

Keypad Code Issues

  1. Wake keypad by touching first
  2. Enter code followed by checkmark
  3. Check code wasn't accidentally changed
  4. Master code resets user codes
  5. Maximum code attempts trigger lockout

Auto-Lock Configuration

  1. Enable auto-lock in Bosma app
  2. Set timer (30-300 seconds typical)
  3. Door sensor detects closed position
  4. Adjust sensor magnet alignment
  5. Manual lock override available

Voice Assistant Control

  1. Link Bosma account in Alexa/Google
  2. "Lock front door" works directly
  3. Unlock may require PIN confirmation
  4. Create routines for goodbye/arrival
  5. Check status via voice query
