Device Not Connecting to WiFi
- RM4 requires 2.4GHz WiFi network
- Hold Reset until LED flashes rapidly
- Use Broadlink app (IHC or BroadLink)
- Enable location permission for app
- Keep phone near device during setup
Not Learning IR Commands
- Point original remote directly at RM4
- Keep remote within 6 inches of RM4
- Ensure RM4 LED lights when receiving
- Learn in room without IR interference
- Try learning same button multiple times
Commands Not Reaching Device
- IR is line-of-sight only
- Position RM4 to face target devices
- Maximum range is typically 8 meters
- IR blaster cable extends range
- Test learned command immediately after saving
AC Control Issues
- AC remotes send state not toggle commands
- Use AC mode in app for proper control
- Select exact AC brand and model
- Each temperature/mode is separate command
