Setup problems:

  • 2.4GHz only: myQ hub only works with 2.4GHz networks
  • myQ app: Use official myQ app for setup
  • Blue LED: Hub should show solid blue when connected
  • Reset: Hold settings button until LED blinks to reset
  • Range: Hub needs good WiFi signal in garage

  • Battery: Door sensor battery may need replacement
  • Obstruction: Check for obstructions in door path
  • Safety sensors: Garage opener safety sensors must be aligned

Status Shows Incorrect

When door status doesn't match reality:

  • Sensor placement: Door sensor should be near top of door

  • Replace sensor: Sensor may have failed - try replacement
  • Multiple doors: Verify sensor is on correct door if multiple

Voice Assistant Integration

Alexa and Google control:

  • Alexa skill: Enable myQ skill - note: Alexa won't open doors by default (security)

  • Google Home: Link myQ account for status and notifications
  • Close only: Voice can typically close but not open without extra verification
