Speaker Won't Set Up

Setup issues:

  • Google Home app: Use Google Home app for setup
  • Same account: Use same Google account as other devices
  • Bluetooth: Keep phone's Bluetooth on during setup
  • Factory reset: Hold mic mute button 15 seconds
  • WiFi: 2.4GHz and 5GHz supported

Google Assistant Not Responding

Voice issues:

  • Microphone: Check mic isn't muted (orange light when muted)
  • Wake word: Say "Hey Google" or "OK Google" clearly
  • Noise: Background noise can prevent detection
  • Internet: Requires internet for voice commands
  • Retrain voice: Retrain Voice Match in Google Home

Audio Quality Issues

Sound problems:

  • Equalizer: Adjust EQ in Google Home app
  • Placement: Keep away from walls and corners
  • Volume: "Hey Google, set volume to 50%"
  • Night mode: Night mode may reduce bass

Speaker Groups

Multi-room audio:

  • Create group: Group speakers in Google Home app

Casting Issues

When casting fails:

  • Same network: Phone and speaker must be on same network
