Problem Description

Your Inovelli Blue Series 2-1 Switch LED notification bar is not displaying colors, not responding to notification commands, or the switch is not pairing.

Common Causes

  • Switch not included in Zigbee network
  • LED disabled in configuration
  • Hub does not support LED notifications
  • Incorrect parameters sent
  • Switch firmware needs updating

Solutions

1. Pair the Switch

  1. Put your Zigbee coordinator in pairing mode
  2. On switch, tap config button 3 times
  3. LED will start pulsing blue
  4. Wait for hub to discover switch

2. Enable LED in Settings

  1. Access switch settings in your hub
  2. Find LED indicator parameters
  3. Ensure LED is enabled (not disabled)
  4. Set default brightness level above 0

3. Send Notification Command

LED notifications require specific parameters:

  • Color (0-255 hue value)
  • Brightness (0-100)
  • Duration (seconds)
  • Effect (solid, blink, pulse, chase)

4. Use Inovelli Toolbox

  1. Visit Inovelli website for notification calculator
  2. Select colors and effects
  3. Calculator generates the parameter value
  4. Send value to switch parameter 8 (notifications)

5. Update Firmware

  1. Check Inovelli website for latest firmware
  2. Use your hubs OTA update feature
  3. Or use Zigbee2MQTT OTA if using HA
  4. LED features improve with updates

6. Factory Reset

  1. Hold config button while turning on breaker
  2. Keep holding for 20 seconds
  3. LED will flash to confirm reset
  4. Re-pair with your hub
