The Meross Smart Garage Door Opener adds WiFi/Matter connectivity to existing garage door openers. This guide covers installation and operational issues.
Common Symptoms
- Garage door not opening/closing from app
- Door status showing incorrectly

Installation Verification
1. Wiring Check
- Verify connection to garage door opener terminals
- Should connect to same terminals as wall button
- Check wire gauge matches requirements
- Ensure connections are secure
2. Sensor Placement
Door sensor critical for accurate status:
- Mount sensor on door (moving part)
- Mount magnet on frame (stationary part)
- Alignment marks should face each other
- Gap should be less than 20mm when closed
3. Test Manual Operation
- First verify garage door works with wall button
- If wall button doesn't work, fix opener first
- Meross simply triggers same circuit
Door Not Responding
App Command Not Working
- Verify device is online in app
- Check WiFi connection
- Try triggering from physical test button on Meross device
- If physical button works, issue is wireless connection
Physical Button Not Working
- Check power to Meross device
- Verify wiring to garage door opener
- Check garage door opener isn't in lock mode
- Try disconnecting/reconnecting wires
Door Status Issues
Status Showing Wrong
- Check sensor and magnet alignment
- Verify sensor battery (if wireless)
- Sensor may be too far from magnet
- Adjust position and test
Sensor Not Detected
- Check sensor is paired to main unit
- Re-pair sensor if needed
- Replace sensor battery
- Keep sensor within range of main unit
WiFi/Matter Setup
WiFi Model
- Power on Meross device
- Wait for LED to indicate pairing mode
- Open Meross app and add device
- Follow WiFi connection prompts

- Scan Matter QR code with controller app
- Device joins network
- Can also add to Meross app for extra features
HomeKit Integration

Troubleshooting Connection
Frequent Offline
- Garage WiFi signal often weak
- Consider WiFi extender in garage

Factory Reset

- Remove from app and re-add
