Yale Approach Lock with WiFi

The Yale Approach Lock with WiFi is a retrofit smart lock that attaches to the inside of your existing deadbolt, adding smart control without replacing external hardware. This approach preserves your current keys and exterior appearance while adding smartphone control, auto-lock, and smart home integration. The motor assembly attaches to your existing thumbturn for easy installation.

Built-in WiFi enables remote control through the Yale Access app without additional modules or hubs. You can lock and unlock from anywhere, receive status notifications, and grant temporary access to guests. DoorSense technology detects whether the door is open or closed, preventing auto-lock when the door is ajar.

The Approach Lock integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. The Yale Access app provides comprehensive control including scheduling, user management, and activity history. For renters or homeowners who can't replace exterior hardware, the Approach Lock adds full smart lock functionality while maintaining existing keys for family members who prefer traditional access.
