The Orbit B-hyve XR 16-Zone Controller is a professional-grade smart irrigation system featuring dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) for reliable connectivity and WeatherSense technology that automatically adjusts watering based on real-time weather data. EPA WaterSense labeled and SWAT certified, the controller optimizes water usage while maintaining healthy landscapes. The outdoor-rated, weather-resistant enclosure mounts indoors or outdoors without requiring an additional protective housing.

Smart watering capabilities analyze environmental factors to create customized schedules for each zone. Configure individual zones with details about soil type, sun exposure, slope, plant types, and sprinkler nozzle specifications—the system then calculates optimal watering duration and frequency. Four manual program schedules plus the smart schedule can run independently or simultaneously. Drought management automatically detects local drought conditions and adjusts watering accordingly with user-customizable sensitivity settings.

The three-panel LED display shows current weather and time, next scheduled start time, and date information at a glance. Two sensor ports accept moisture or freeze sensors to prevent watering during rain or freezing conditions. The XR serves as a hub for other B-hyve devices including flood sensors, leak detectors, and hose timers. Push-fit wire terminals and a built-in bubble level simplify installation.
