TP-Link Tapo C420S2 Wire-Free Camera System

The TP-Link Tapo C420S2 is a wire-free security camera system including two battery-powered cameras and a smart hub. Each camera delivers 2K QHD resolution (2560x1440) with color night vision powered by integrated spotlights. The rechargeable, removable batteries provide up to 180 days of operation based on 10-20 daily events, with low-power protocols maximizing battery life.

Smart AI detection identifies people, pets, and vehicles with targeted notifications. Each camera features two-way audio, customizable voice alarms, and a 92dB siren for deterrence (the hub has a 100dB siren). IP65 weather resistance protects against rain and dust. The cameras connect to the hub via Sub-1G wireless (868MHz or 922MHz), which then connects to your Wi-Fi network.

The system stores footage on microSD cards up to 512GB inserted into the hub, with optional Tapo Care cloud storage. Up to four cameras can connect to a single hub. Integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant enables voice control and smart display viewing. The wire-free design allows flexible placement without running power cables, ideal for rental properties and locations without nearby outlets.
