The Ring Mailbox Sensor alerts you the moment mail arrives, eliminating unnecessary trips to an empty mailbox and ensuring you don't miss important deliveries. The sensor detects when your mailbox door is opened, sending instant notifications to your phone. Particularly valuable for those with mailboxes at the end of driveways or in community mailbox clusters away from the home.

The sensor mounts inside your mailbox using included hardware and adhesive, connecting wirelessly to a Ring Bridge (sold separately) via Ring's proprietary RF protocol. The compact design fits in standard residential mailboxes without interfering with mail delivery. The weather-resistant housing protects against moisture and temperature variations typical of mailbox environments.

The sensor operates on battery power with approximately 1-year lifespan under normal use.
