Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and inspect: Verify all parts are included—shade, brackets, screws, and battery charger.
  2. Charge the battery: Connect the USB-C cable and charge fully before installation.
  3. Position brackets: For inside mount, place brackets at the top inside corners of the window frame.
  4. Level and mark: Use a level to ensure brackets will be aligned. Mark screw holes.
  5. Install brackets: Drill pilot holes and secure brackets with included screws.
  6. Mount the shade: Click the shade roller into the mounted brackets.
  7. Test manual operation: Gently pull to lower; tug to raise.
  8. Download Cync app: Install and create account if you don't have one.
  9. Add the shade: Tap "+" in the app. Select "Window Coverings" and follow pairing steps.
  10. Connect via Thread: The shade will automatically join your Thread network via your border router.
  11. Add to Apple Home: Scan the HomeKit code on the shade or in the manual.
  12. Calibrate: Set open and closed positions through the app.

Troubleshooting

  • Not appearing in Home app: Ensure you have a Thread border router active on your network.
  • Battery draining quickly: Check for frequent automations. Reduce scheduled movements if needed.
  • Shade not calibrating: Manually position shade fully open, then fully closed before calibrating in app.
  • Thread connection issues: Move Thread border router closer or add another router to extend mesh.
