Step-by-Step Installation
- Set up Smart Bridge first: Connect the Lutron Caseta Smart Bridge to your router via Ethernet. Plug in power and wait for the LED to turn green.
- Install the Lutron app: Download the Lutron app and create an account. Add your bridge by following the in-app setup.
- Unpack the shades: Remove all packaging. The shades come with a rechargeable battery pack.
- Charge if needed: Check battery level. Charge via USB if below 50% for easier installation.
- Install mounting brackets: Position brackets inside the window frame. Use a level to ensure alignment. Drill and secure.
- Mount the shade: Click the roller into the brackets. It should snap securely into place.
- Add shade to app: In the Lutron app, tap "+" > "Serena Shades." Follow the prompts to pair.
- Set up Pico remote: The app will guide you through pairing the included Pico remote to control the shade.
- Mount Pico remote: Use the included wall plate to mount the Pico near the window or carry it as a handheld remote.
- Create schedules: Set shades to open at sunrise, close at sunset, or any custom schedule.

Troubleshooting
- Shade not responding: Check battery level in app. Ensure bridge is online (green LED).
- Pico remote not working: Re-pair the remote in the app. Replace battery if needed (CR2032).
- Shade stops at wrong position: Recalibrate upper and lower limits in the Lutron app settings.
- HomeKit not syncing: Remove and re-add the Lutron bridge in the Apple Home app.
