Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Connect bridge to router: Use Ethernet cable to connect Hue Bridge Pro to your router.
  2. Connect power: Plug in the power adapter. Wait for all three lights to turn on (solid blue).
  3. Download Philips Hue app: Install and create a Hue account (or sign in).
  4. Add bridge: App searches automatically. Select your bridge when found.
  5. Press link button: Press the large button on top of bridge to authorize.
  6. Search for lights: Tap "+" to search. Bridge finds Hue lights automatically.
  7. Assign rooms: Organize lights into rooms and zones.
  8. Enable Matter: In settings, enable Matter to connect to other ecosystems.
  9. Set up automations: Create schedules, routines, and scenes.

Troubleshooting

  • Bridge not found: Ensure Ethernet is connected. Check router assigns IP address.
  • Lights not discovered: Move lights closer to bridge. Try Zigbee channel change in settings.
  • App shows offline: Power cycle bridge. Check Ethernet connection.
  • Matter setup fails: Ensure firmware is updated. Re-enable Matter in settings.
  • Slow response: Reduce number of devices or add Hue bridges for different areas.
