Step-by-Step Setup

Choose installation location: The FP1E uses mmWave radar—position to face the area you want to monitor. Optimal height is 4-5ft, tilted slightly downward.
Connect power: Plug a USB-C cable into the sensor and connect to a power adapter or USB port.
Wait for initialization: The indicator will show the sensor is ready for pairing.
Open Matter controller: Apple Home, Google Home, or other compatible app.
Add device: Tap "+" and scan the Matter QR code on the sensor.
Complete pairing: Wait for the sensor to connect via Thread or through the hub.
Assign room: Place in the appropriate location in your smart home.
Mount the sensor: Use the bracket to wall-mount or place on a shelf facing the monitored area.
Calibrate (if using Aqara app): Set detection zones and sensitivity through the Aqara Home app for advanced features.

Not detecting presence: Ensure sensor has clear line of sight. Check mounting angle. Adjust sensitivity in Aqara app.
False positives: Reduce sensitivity. Avoid pointing at fans, curtains, or other moving objects. Set exclusion zones.
Pairing fails: Ensure Thread border router is online. Reset sensor by holding button for 10 seconds. Try pairing closer to border router.
Falls not detected: Feature requires specific positioning and height. Consult documentation for optimal fall detection setup.
Zone settings not syncing to Matter: Advanced features may only be available in Aqara app. Basic presence works across Matter platforms.
