What You'll Need
- Rain Bird ESP-ME3 Controller
- LNK2 WiFi Module
- Existing valve wiring
- Smartphone with Rain Bird app
- Wi-Fi network
Step 1: Mount Controller
Install the controller in a protected location. The ESP-ME3 is rated for indoor/outdoor use.
Step 2: Connect Wiring
Connect zone valve wires to corresponding terminals. Connect common to C terminal.
Step 3: Install WiFi Module
Insert the LNK2 WiFi module into the designated slot on the controller.
Step 4: Power On
Connect power. The controller will initialize.
Step 5: Download App
Get the Rain Bird app and create your account.
Step 6: Connect to WiFi
Follow the app setup to connect the controller to your network.
Step 7: Program Zones
Set up watering schedules for each zone using the app or controller interface.

Troubleshooting
