What You'll Need

  • SwitchBot Remote
  • SwitchBot Hub Mini or Hub 2 (required)
  • SwitchBot app (iOS/Android)
  • SwitchBot account
  • CR2450 battery (included)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Ensure you have a hub: SwitchBot Remote requires Hub Mini or Hub 2
  2. Insert battery: Remove the back cover and insert CR2450 battery
  3. Open SwitchBot app: Navigate to your devices list
  4. Add Remote: Tap "+" and select "Remote"
  5. Put Remote in pairing mode: Press both buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds
  6. Connect to hub: Select which Hub Mini/Hub 2 to connect through
  7. Assign button actions: Configure what each button (and long-press) does
  8. Test functionality: Press buttons to verify they trigger the right actions

Key Features

  • 2-button design: Simple on/off or scene trigger
  • 4 actions: Each button supports press and long-press
  • Control SwitchBot devices: Toggle Bots, Curtains, Plugs, etc.
  • Trigger scenes: Activate entire scene sequences
  • Wall-mountable: Includes adhesive mount
  • Long battery life: CR2450 lasts about 1 year

Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding: Check if hub is online. Remote works through the hub
  • Can't pair: Ensure you're pressing both buttons to enter pairing mode
  • Actions delayed: Normal delay of 1-2 seconds through cloud. Hub 2 with BLE may be faster
  • Button does nothing: Verify button action is configured in app
  • Battery drain: Replace CR2450 battery if remote stops working
