What You'll Need

  • Wemo Stage Scene Controller
  • iPhone/iPad with Home app (HomeKit required)
  • Apple Home hub (HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad)
  • Bluetooth connection
  • CR2032 battery (pre-installed)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Unpack the controller: Remove from packaging. The battery is pre-installed.
  2. Activate the controller: Press any button to wake the device. The LED will blink.
  3. Open Apple Home app: On your iPhone or iPad, open the Home app.
  4. Add accessory: Tap "+" → "Add Accessory."
  5. Scan HomeKit code: Find the HomeKit code on the back of the Stage or on the packaging. Scan it.
  6. Wait for pairing: The controller will pair via Bluetooth. Ensure your Apple Home hub is nearby.
  7. Assign room: Place the controller in an appropriate room.
  8. Configure buttons: Each of the 3 buttons can trigger scenes. Tap a button in the Home app to assign a scene (single press, double press, long press).
  9. Mount or place: Use the included magnetic mount or place on any surface.

Troubleshooting

  • Won't pair with HomeKit: Ensure you have an Apple Home hub (HomePod, Apple TV). Stay within Bluetooth range during pairing.
  • Button presses not registering: Check battery level. Ensure button assignments are saved in Home app. Move closer to Home hub.
  • Scene not triggering: Verify the scene works when triggered from the app. Check all devices in the scene are online.
  • Battery draining fast: Frequent use drains battery faster. Replace CR2032 when LED response becomes sluggish.
  • LED not lighting: Battery may be depleted. Replace the CR2032 battery. Check battery orientation.
