Problem Description
Your Aqara Hub M3 is showing offline in the Aqara Home app, HomeKit, or your Zigbee sensors and accessories are not responding.
Common Causes
- Hub not connected to WiFi or Ethernet
- Zigbee channel interference
- Devices out of range or mesh network weak
- Hub firmware needs updating
- HomeKit sync issues
Solutions
1. Check Hub Connection Status
- Blue breathing: Connected and working
- Blue solid: Connecting
- Yellow: Firmware updating
- Red: Error or offline
2. Power Cycle the Hub
- Unplug the hub from power
- If using Ethernet, disconnect the cable
- Wait 30 seconds
- Reconnect Ethernet (if used), then power
- Wait 2-3 minutes for full startup
3. Re-pair Offline Zigbee Devices
- Open Aqara Home app and find the offline device
- Delete/remove the device from the app
- Reset the device (usually hold button until LED flashes)
- Add the device back through the hub
4. Change Zigbee Channel
WiFi and Zigbee can interfere on certain channels:
- Open Aqara Home app then Hub settings
- Find Zigbee channel setting
- Try channels 15, 20, or 25 (least WiFi interference)
5. Improve Zigbee Mesh Network
- Add Aqara Smart Plugs or wired devices to act as repeaters
- Battery devices do not repeat - they rely on the mesh
- Keep hub away from metal objects and electronics
6. Reset HomeKit Connection
- In Apple Home app, remove the Aqara hub
- In Aqara app, go to Hub settings then HomeKit
- Reset HomeKit pairing
- Re-add to HomeKit by scanning the code
7. Factory Reset
- Press and hold the hub button for 10+ seconds
- LED will change color and hub will reset
- All devices and settings will be lost
