Problem Description
Your Bond Bridge is not finding your ceiling fan during setup, not learning RF remote signals, or commands are not controlling your fan or fireplace.
Common Causes
- Fan uses incompatible frequency
- Bridge positioned too far from fan receiver
- Remote battery low during learning
- RF signal not reaching fan
- WiFi connectivity issues
Solutions
1. Position Bridge Correctly
- Place Bond Bridge in central location
- Bridge should have clear line of sight to fan
- Avoid metal obstructions between bridge and fan
- Try moving closer if commands fail
2. Use Template Instead of Learning
- Open Bond app and add device
- Select your fan brand from the list
- Choose the matching remote model
- Test if template commands work
3. Learn Remote Signals
- If template does not work, choose Learn Remote
- Ensure remote has fresh batteries
- Hold remote 2-3 inches from Bond Bridge
- Press each button when prompted
- Wait for confirmation before moving to next
4. Check WiFi Connection
- Ensure Bond Bridge is online in app
- Check LED status (solid green = connected)
- Bridge needs 2.4GHz WiFi
- Power cycle bridge if offline
5. Test Direct Commands
- Stand near the fan/device
- Use Bond app to send command
- Watch for fan response
- If no response, bridge may be out of range
6. Factory Reset Bridge
- Press and hold button on bridge for 10 seconds
- LED will flash and reset
- Set up bridge again in app
- Re-add all devices
Supported Frequencies
- Bond Bridge supports 300-450MHz RF
- Most ceiling fans use 303MHz or 315MHz
- Some older fans may be incompatible
When to Contact Support
